In recent months almost every software product has added an "AI assistant". But which one makes sense for an SME?
Our criterion
Before looking at features, we ask: how many repetitive requests does this business actually receive every day? If they're few, a chatbot is a cost, not a saving.
What works
- Answering FAQs about opening hours, indicative prices, availability: here AI saves hours every week.
- Routing requests: the chatbot collects details and hands the contact to the right person.
- WhatsApp as the main channel: it's where customers already write.
What doesn't work (yet)
- Chatbots that "make up" answers on prices or terms: without a controlled knowledge base, the risk is high.
- Solutions far too complex for low volumes.
The best chatbot is the one that knows when to hand over to a human.
In short
For most SMEs the right path is starting small. Want to know if it fits your business? Let's talk.
