There is a scene that repeats itself in many companies. Someone reads that artificial intelligence saves hours of work, licences are bought, an email with the link is sent to everyone. A few weeks later two people use the tool; the others tried it once, got a wrong answer and went back to doing things as before. The most common conclusion is that "AI isn't for us". In our view, it's the wrong conclusion.
The problem isn't the tool
Today's tools are very capable, but they are not as intuitive as they look. They answer well if you know how to ask, if you give the right context and if you can recognise when they are making something up. These are skills that are learned quickly, but they have to be learned. Without them the result is down to chance: sometimes excellent, sometimes unusable, and trust is lost at the second disappointment.
What changes with training
Good training is not a theoretical course on artificial intelligence. It is an afternoon spent on people's real work: their emails, their documents, their customers. You learn to write clear instructions, to check the results, to understand what can be handed to AI and what cannot, and which data must never end up in an external tool. People who come out of training like this don't need to be convinced: they have already seen what they can do with their own work.
There is also a less visible but equally important reason. Since February 2025 the AI Act has required companies that use artificial intelligence to ensure their staff are adequately prepared. Training the team is therefore not only common sense, it is also the simplest way to comply.
Our position
This is how we see it: first you train the people, then you choose the tool, then you build tailored solutions. Reversing the order almost always means spending more and getting less. A person who knows how to use a free tool well produces better results than one who uses the most expensive tool on the market badly.
That is why in our work training is not an extra added at the end: it is where we start. When people understand what they can do with artificial intelligence, the ideas about where to use it come from them, and that is where the projects that last are born. If you don't know where to begin, read where to start with AI in your business.
